In order to use this service you need to have an account. This account doesn't use a username or email address, just your unique number and
optionally a password. Enter a password if you want one and press to get a new account. You'll be given your id number
which you'll need whenever you want to retrieve your IP.
What is this?
I thought about this when I had several people telling me that they have a dynamic IP and want a way to know what their IP is without being
at their home PC and without having to write their IP down. Using this you can create an account and use a program to send your IP
every time you reboot (or whenever you run the program). You can then grab this IP from your work or from school to connect to any servers
you have running on your home PC.
You can grab the program from here. Note that along with the .exe file you need a .txt file (in the same folder) called
url.txt which should contain the url required to update your URL (which you'll get once you create an account). The url should be on the first line
of the text file.
If it gives an error saying a file is missing then download this and put in c:\windows\system\
Once you've got an account use the following link to get your IP:
http://ip.whiteacid.org/?get&id=your_id&p=[password]. Obviously you only need to specify a password if one is set.
